Open Positions
Unarmed Security Officer
Provide professional uniformed security presence at assigned posts including access control, patrol, incident reporting, and emergency response. Ideal for MPCTC-certified officers seeking steady, professional employment with a reputable agency.
Armed Security Officer
Provide armed security coverage at high-value or elevated-risk assignments including asset protection, executive protection details, and environments requiring a visible armed deterrent. Must be currently qualified with a duty firearm.
Commissioned Special Police Officer
Serve as a Maryland Commissioned Special Police Officer on designated properties with full arrest authority. Assignments include commercial properties, residential communities, campuses, and special events requiring sworn law enforcement presence.
Baseline Standards
General Requirements for All Applicants
All MPSLP applicants must meet the following baseline requirements before being considered for any position. These are non-negotiable standards that protect our clients and uphold our reputation.
Valid MPCTC Security License
All security officer applicants must hold a current, valid Maryland Security Guard license issued through the Maryland State Police and Training Certificate from the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission. If you are not yet licensed, visit our Train With Us page to get certified.
Clean Criminal Background
All applicants undergo a comprehensive federal and state criminal background check. Disqualifying offenses will result in immediate disqualification from the hiring process.
Drug-Free
Pre-employment drug screening is required for all positions. MPSLP maintains a strict drug-free workplace policy with random screening throughout employment.
Professional Appearance & Conduct
MPSLP officers represent our brand and our clients. Applicants must be able to maintain a professional appearance in uniform and conduct themselves with courtesy and authority at all times.
Reliable Transportation
Officers must have reliable transportation to report to assigned posts on time. Punctuality and post coverage are non-negotiable at MPSLP.
Eligibility to Work in the United States
All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Documentation will be required during the onboarding process.

Initial Review

Interview & Screening
Selected candidates complete an in-person interview, background check, and drug screening. Bring your MPCTC license and any relevant certifications.
Offer & Onboarding
Successful candidates receive a conditional offer and complete site-specific orientation before their first deployment.
Not Yet Licensed?
MPSLP operates its own MPCTC-approved training center. If you need your initial 16-hour security guard certification or annual in-service renewal, we can help you get qualified before you apply.
